I was driving around the other day and I saw an unusual dish. I didn't have anything to take a picture with, so I tried drawing it with Windows Paint. I believe it is called a cylindrical parabolic dish. Does anyone know what these dishes are used for?

You can get 24dBi parabolic dish antenna for 2.4GHz for a very cheap price, relatively speaking (of the gain). Telinga is best known for its parabolic dish system which is great - lightweight, can be rolled up for transportation and is really good for bird recording.
