I voted "I used to ride and work on my bike" but some day I will change that back to "Yes, I ride these days and do my own wrenching". I started out with a Yamaha SR250, graduated to a 1982 model Ducati Pantah SL600, then went through three more Ducatis culminating in a 1990 model Ducati 900 Supersport. There was also a 1979 model BMW R65 in there at some point. Some day I hope to get an ...

I deliberately only mentioned price, it's the most important factor in determining uptake of any product. The Ducatis are priced far too high for what they are. They might perform better than the Triumphs I mentioned, but in performance terms the Ducatis are most definitely not value for money when you consider that a Street Triple will leave them for dead, and only costs £5949. Don't get me ...

With only 1k miles in 5 years I'd have had it checked out after a lengthy lay off. As already suggested some of the causes could be Coils breaking down, HT leads breaking down, Plug caps breaking down, pickups (my old pantah used to need the pickups cleaned regularly as crud tends to attract to them lowering their efficiency - but I doubt if they're the same now.), water in the tank, fuel filter ...

My first road legal bike was a spick bike, Gilera, then I went to the IOM and saw Mike Hailwood beat the works Hondas on the Sports M/c's Duc, then I read Bike magazines Laverda monjuic/ducati pantah article, then I had a Laverda jota, and nearly died on it, then I bought a Pantah wot was lying in the back of someones shed under bags of coal and rebuilt it - loved that bike more than any other, ...

As a kid growing up in the 60's and 70's there were a few Triumphs around where I lived, Bonnevilles, Tigers, Tridents, these were seriously exciting beasts and were what first got me interested in bikes. In the 80's I rode Triumph Tigers in the Army but wasn't impressed by the vibration or the shocking unreliability, despite this I really enjoyed riding them, more so than any bike I ever rode,...

Hallo, danke für die Geduld . Also es hängt an folgendem: 1. Brauche ich andere SW (welche?) + Skin (welcher am besten?)? 2. Brauche ich dann eine Schritt für Schritt Anleitung wie das gemacht wird. 3. Alles so erklärt, das es ein Navi+PC-Dummy blickt! Sonst nichts.
