I'm not sure if this is a problem in wine, a problem of FreeBSD/amd64, or a problem in my video driver. I'm running FreeBSD 8.0 amd64. OK THIS PROBLEM STARED BY USING THE DRIVER GENIUS TO UPGRADE MY DRIVERS. IT LOADED A NEW VIDEO DRIVER WHICH INITIATED THE ERROR MESSAGING. SINCE THAT HAPPENED I ERASED THE PARTITION THAT XP PRO WAS ON AND WAS FORMATTING A NEW PARTITION WHEN THE POWER DIED ON MY LAPTOP. If this is only with games, you may want to post on the gaming section of the forum. Maybe one of the gamers has more info on this. But it could still be a memory problem due to what memory the Integrated Audio uses compared to what the SoundBlaster uses.

I had this problem too. I was getting BSODs randomly with Windows XP Pro x64 with the disk.sys error. It also occurred when I logged into Skype. For me the solution seems to have been to uninstall X1 Desktop Search. Hope this helps others.
