Attaching PVC conduit to a metal box? I'm trying to run some PVC conduit out of my surface mounted breaker panel. There are already several other metal conduits, which are attached to the panel with the set screw type clamp that screws into a 1/2" knockout. What is the equivalent "thing" for PVC going into a 1/2" metal ...

The PVC pipe seems damp on the out side like condensation, is this going to just be water on the outside? only seem to happen where bio is in the pipe. Not sure if anyone ...

I have ruined another perfectly good pair of blue jeans with that stupid purple pvc glue and primer. I have ruined I don't know how many pairs of jeans with that stuff. Does any one have an idea of how to prevent it from setting into your clothes?

Can you tell me what the best practice or plumbing code for residential construction for bedding material a 4" pvc sewer line to prevent deflection of the pipe? I've heard some people say to lay the pipe in a bed of 4 inch deep #57 stone or pea gravel bring the gravel/stone half way up the side of the pipe. then on top of that use more stone, soil and finally a 4 inch concrete slab. Thanks...

Several years ago I saw examples of using 4" or so PVC to distribute hvac. Easily installed, many zones, even temps throughout, great for retrofit for old houses. Any help would be appreciated

My present chair mat is nearing the end of its life - it's brittle and cracked. I've been Googling for a new one but there are great differences in prices. Which is best on carpet - PVC or Polycarbonate? Does anyone have a recommendation please? The reviews for 5 Star brand are pretty awful, so I guess I am going to have to pay rather more than I remember paying four years ago for the ...

Guys Im not sure that this is the correct place to post this but it seems close to the topic of drain cleaning. Im currently remodeling my backyard. Due to the design I needed to get water to a remote part of the yard and while excavating the soil I discovered a PVC pipe stub coming out the concrete slab that runs around the back. There was also a stub near the faucet which is used ...

Has anyone else experienced this? 1) I bought an NOS Racal Morse key for my Syncal-30. It arrived in original sealed plastic bag - but must be ~30 years old I guess. It seemed fine on removing it from the bag but after trying it out I noticed a crack through the outer of the mono coax cable, which I patched up with tape. Some weeks later when I came to use it I found the whole cable cracked ...

Hello, I am a newbie here, replacing my tub in a 40 year old house with concrete foundation, cast iron drains with lead traps at tubs toilets and shower. I cut out my old 1 1/2" lead drain pipe going down 2" before a 2" bulge in the pipe . What is this bulge in the lead drain pipe? I will try to attatch a picture. Thanks Mike in Houston

I have a new well. It has a 6" steel casing and a 4" PVC sleeve with the space filled with material. Thus, I'm clueless as to how to install the pitless adapter since almost all drawings show it attached to the steel casing.
