I recently posted that PSE 4 will no longer let me perform a backup, i.e., I get an "error writing to file" everytime I try to do a backup. I was unable to find any solutions to correct this error. I'm installing PSE 8 from a disc I purchased, and it all goes smoothly until it's 3/4 down the bar and I get this error: I'm not sure what to do, because I am logged as the administrator while downloading this. I'm using Vista. What can I do to get the download to finish?

I just installed the trial version of PSE8 and am planning on purchasing the full version if I can figure this out. When I edit an image and click File>save as and save it as a JPEG it won't let me re-open it in PSE or in any other program. What could the problem be? I'd appreciate any assistance as this is very frustrating. Thanks, LeeAnn

I am new to digital photography and editing. I have the trial version on PSE 8 and am looking for a book to help me. Like the "Dummy's" series. I know the 8 is new, so will a book on PSE 7 help get me started?

What is your opinion on PSE 8? I have an old version PSE 2 and have the urge for a upgrade and just wondering how this version is. I want the good and the bad opinions! I am not a pro or close to it, just use PSE for scrapbooking and photos. Thanks, Megan

I would like to be able to make "cookie cutter" templates in and for use in PSE 6. I enjoy the creative process of using my digital scrapbooking skills and elements but I would like to do that and use them with an Arch shape, hence the template. Hello All PSE 8 installed fine but when I Select the "Pictures" folder under Libraries (Win 7) and click on "Get Photos" instead of coming up with the regular dialog box, it just expands the folder under "Pictures" and it keeps doing that until I get down to a actual picture then the "Get Photos" button will get the photo.
