Pioneer A35R or NAD C325BEE w/ PSB T45 I'm piecing together a "budget" 2.0 set-up and looking for some guidance/advice on a couple integrated amps I'm considering. Speakers are PSB T45's. Room is a large family room, open to much of the lower level. This is certainly not a "critical listening" set-up, but want to get the most out of ...

Hello all, wondering if I could solicit some advice. I have been looking at purchasing a pair of PSB T65's, but there is no one in my town who carries them locally. Today, I found a pair of Klipsch RF-35's for sale used. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about the Klipsch vs. the PSB. I will be listening to these mainly for music, but they will also be the only two speakers...

I have a pair of PSB towers that my wife has deemed 'too big' for our newly redesigned living room. We have the TV mounted on the wall above the mantle and I'm considering buying a pair of PSB Alpha LR1s to put on the mantle next to the TV or mount them on the wall and buy a subwoofer like a TSC T250. The speakers will be mostly for music and to better the TV sound not necessarily for HT. ...

I have a Sony Bravia TV which gives error rates and other info for a selected channel. For BBC1 on the old Mux 1 the Pre-Viterbi error rate was 5 E-4. For BBC1 on BBC A Mux, the Pre-Viterbi error rate is 1 E-3, i.e. twice the error rate. Both Mux1 and BBC A have post-Viterbi error rate = 0...

any opinions on which would be better to use as main speakers for mainly listening to music. Considering the room I'm going to use a speaker of this general size with a sub. Thanks.

Hi all, I've been a Linux user since 2004 (Fedora + Ubuntu). I would like to install Mandriva on my new Asus Eee PC 1101, which has the Intel GMA 500 (aka Poulsbo) video chipset and a max. screen resolution of 1366x768. (I had no success in getting the psb driver working under F11). I was alerted to Mandriva's support for this chipset via a comment to a post on Adam Williamson's blog (...

Upgrade to 2010 went really smoothly! Glad to see psb drivers included and fully functional!!! Webcam also works As title says, sound out is just fine for all apps. But, no sound in. I have played with pulseaudio control, alsamixer, kmix with no result. All I get is line noise. The chip is SiI1392, and it worked under 2009.1 Can anyone guide me to some ...
I need to get a solution to enable me (and others in our small village) to combine signals from 2 antennas, one receiving from the Wenvoe main Tx (Wales region) and the other from our local Freeview Lite relay. I want to be able to remove the PSB muxes from the Welsh Tx, and insert the...

Hi all, I just installed Fedora 11 on a new Eee PC 1101, which has an 11.6" screen and offers a maximum resolution of 1366x768. Alas, I haven't yet been able to get the Poulsbo driver working (the xorg-x11-drv-psb package from RPMFusion), so I am using the vesa driver. The driver defaults 800x600, and I thought it would be straightforward to remedy this (Google returns a gazillion hits...

Since it sounds like you are leaning toward the PSB's, I'd say go for those and whichever reciever (with preouts) has the features you want. If you decide the sound is lacking, you can add the external amp later. If you are patient, you can definately get a good amp for less than $800. Emotiva runs sales every few months (usually about $100 off). You can also pick one up used. Most Emotiva ...
