In past posts on this forum I believe the general consensus is that a PRV is not needed if water pressure is under 80psi. A couple of months ago the new copper plumbing was completed - all type L. 1" from meter to water heater & 3/4" after that to various locations that then divide off into 1/2" for individual fixtures. Used soldered on Nibco ball valves. Also, based on reading this forum...

We had a pilot PRV stick full open for about 12 hours. When the PRV was taken offline fore repairs it was noticed that the PRV soft seat had partially melted along the outside edge. The melting temperature of the soft seat is > 160 deg C, however, the measured gas temperature during the relief (and normal operating temperature) was only 100 deg C. The gas temperature has never exceed 110 ...

Hi guys! We received a letter from the county that there is going to be a significant increase in water pressure and we should install a PRV. We already have a PRV along with a thermal expansion tank installed where the pipe comes into the house, but it was suggested we have one installed at the water meter. Is this necessary? There are several neighbors who have had pipes break ...

I'm installing a small 2 gal electric supplemental water heater for the downstairs 1/2 bath. I want to do this so guests don't have to wait to receive hot water from our tankless unit located some distance away. I am planning to run the PRV discharge line down into the crawl space and would like to run it into what I've been told is a flood drain to the sewer... essentially a 4 inch flex line ...

Although I use Sonar for many years, there's one thing I remember that is easier in Cubase and do not know if Sonar already has. When working in PRV mode manipulating envelopes, for example Modwheel, and I leave it in half (64 value or any value), when I want to remember what value is after a long piece of music, gotta get back visually to the last envelope and put manually with the mouse in ...

I have a 1995 325i with 203,000 miles on it. I failed emissions here in Maryland saying that my hydrocarbons were too high.. So too much unburnt fuel... I thought that maybe changing the spark plugs doing an oil change and cleaning my air filter would do the trick like a tune up.. While changing the plugs i found oil in the compartments so i'm sure i need to change the valve cover gaskets.. I ...

Hi Last time I posted I baled part out in the 70's Bought into VGM and am sitting on a nice profit, just waiting for December update, before considering selling part and re-considering PRV. What is the problem with PRV share price? Have you any news? Would like to increase holding, but seems a big risk judging by the sp fall? Now back to my average. Any suggestion welcome. S.A.G...

Hi, we are changing an old rad valve for a new trv. We have a combi boiler. Do we need to drain the entire system to change the rad valve or can we just let the pressure out of the boiler from the prv? Many thanks
