I've long been a fan of PIMCO and had PTRAX in my 401k for close to a year. Sold it at 10.96 a few weeks ago because I think they are right. Good, well managed group in my opinion.

PIMCO just came on CNBC and they said (THIS IS A SHOCKER) that maybe it's time to start taking profits on the rally because it's not likely to last. Can it be that some talking heads are starting to make some sense here?

Didn't see this posted elsewhere. Anyone else find these remotely interesting? Market comments from Pimco and Art Kashin(sp?) combined with last day of the month to take profits is creating a storm of selling. Earlier this week Art suggested the market was close to an 800 point down day, depending on the dollar. Paul McCulley's latest at PIMCO suggests that investors trim exposure to risk assets, but offers this bubble scenario as well, which could take place in spite of (really, because of) the dismal economy. SNIP Thus, ironically, the biggest intermediate-term risk for risk assets is not that the big-V (economic recovery) doesnt unfold, but that it does, inciting the Fed to bring the ...

We also recognize, however, that markets can stray quite far from “fundamentally justified” values, if there is a strong belief in a friendly convention, one with staying power. And right now, that convention is a strong belief in a very friendly Fed for an extended period. Thus, the strongest case for risk ...

Feels good to be out of all my Pimco CEF's - PCN and PTY. I will consider putting the money back into unlevered preferred index funds like PGF and PFF. Making back last year's losses in the levered CEF's seems like a miracle.

Why - when it happens - stocks, long treasuries, and gold will all go down together. From Paul McCulley at PIMCO: Quote: How can it be that risk assets, notably common stocks, have been roaring ahead, presumably discounting a robust V-shaped economic recovery, while Treasury bonds are holding their own with a bull flattening bias, presumably rejecting the V-shaped ...
