hi..we set up FMLE 3.0 with a Pinnacle Pro PCI 110i capture card. We can do have audio when using pinnacle software but when we use FMLE we dont get any audio at all. capture card gets listed on audio devices on the FMLE screen but no audio comes at all The motherboard is an Intel with Realtek sound system on board. I noticed that my rig was slowing down lately so I ran 3dmark06 to verify that it's not just my imagination. I got 7k marks from what was previously around 11k. A huge difference!! I have a Hauppauge PVR150 PCI card and it was a pain to get it installed on a Vista 64bit Ultimate box running 4GB. Even after it was installed (thanks to help from vortexers) I have never been very impressed with its recording quality even for SD video. In the article you linked it says 'On the U3S6 card, bottlenecks are alleviated by running the card in a x4 PCI-E mode." This is very true. The person must have gotten bit and bytes confused. PCI-E x4 is well above the maximum throughput of USB 3.0.
