I just bought this, love the coin. But, think it would be more valuable in NGC or PCGS plastic. Does this coin appear to be a good crossover candidate? If you wanna see a GIANT version, click here: GIANT

Does anyone know the number of coins certified in the old PCGS Rattlers? Is there a comprehensive breakdown by date & denomination? I have a 1937 Proof Lincoln Cent in an old PCGS Rattler. I was wondering if there were any others? I would like to make a 1936-1942 Proof Lincoln Cent Collection in old PCGS Rattlers. Thanks...

Popular, early date, Walking Liberty half, housed in the much sought after AU-58, PCGS holder. This mark free beauty is basically all white, with minor, light toning areas scattered about. The coin exhibits strong luster, with weakness of strike, typical for this date, visible on the obverse, central devices. My scan ...

Has a rim nick, as shown. PCGS graded. Will send to you USPS Express, insured, at my cost. Should be a decent deal for someone looking at a quick buy. Please, no Paypal at this cost (unless you don't mind adding 2%.). Thanks!...

In another thread a couple days ago, a forum member lamented that he received all lowball offers for his 2009 UHR PCGS MS-70 FS at the Santa Clara show. Offers ranged from $100 over spot to $1600. At first, I was sympathetic. After more thought, I am reconsidering. If you were a dealer, what would you pay for one, knowing...

"PCGS to no longer guarantee RD/RB on copper coins": http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid =26&threadid=751680 Clip from PCGS's new Guarantee: "IMPORTANT: Because the color and surfaces of copper ...

I will comment on you Indian Head collection Auction first: You should set this up as a BIN (Buy It Now) of Best Offer auction with no expiration date , when the time period is up the auction will automatically renew and you will be only charged your listing and photo fee. Set the BIN at a price 15 - 25 % higher then the lowest acceptable offer you would consider. You would do better with ...

For the series I collect, I do not find dealer ask prices reliable. In my experience, many of them ask absurd prices for mediocre material and many of them are problem coins that NGC or PCGS will not grade either. I have a few dealers that I buy from on a semi-regular basis but only a few.

Sorry I haven't had time to post to the boards due to the holiday! While this thread is intended to be mostly done in jest, there is a grain of truth at the center. I spoke with SlumLord earlier today, and he was indeed displeased with the coin, though I exaggerated somewhat the level of his complaint, and as part of the "joke", I faked (poorly) the "scratch". But that is kind of at the crux...

Coin looks OK to me. I would say that it's NT and not AT. Probably was put into a holder of some sort and toned to those colors. I had a few like that that were a bit higher in grade than yours but with the same toning and were certfied by PCGS.
