A heads up for a sweet P228 for sale on another site. It's not mine but I thought I'd bring it here in case someone wanted a nice 2-tone compensated P228 http://www.ar15.com/forums/top...ml?b=7&f=88&t=724 091

I'm looking for a SS threaded barrel for a P228, does anyone know who makes them? I already called Barsto and they don't, Jarvis makes them but they're aren't stainless. Help!

Does the p228 9mm mag fit the .40 S&W p229? I bought a FireDragon 9mm conversion barrel for my .40 p229 and not sure I need new 9mm mags. I have cycled the slide for a function test and it was fine but I don't want to have my life depend on using .40 cal mags filled with 9mm rounds. What do you guys think?

OK, well bought a new toy today so need to make room in the safe... First up Sig P228 9mm, some holster wear, on edges, but nothing major. You simply can not go wrong with these great guns.. have a grey hard case and two thirteen round mags. Pistol has night sights still glow... but a little dim. Asking $600.00 plus $20 shipping Next up is Sig P229 40sw, has wear on ...

What's the difference between a Zurich 228, a W. German 228, and one of these: http://www.topgunsupply.com/si...s-da-sa-no-rail.h tml Also, is any one better or more desireable over the other?

There is a thread that has a compiled list of P220 serial numbers correlated with dates of manufacture, but also correlated with design modifications like non-spur hammers, reinforced frame, and hammer safety - things that might make certain model years more desirable than others to potential buyers. I have not seen such a thread for the P228 nor read any discussions about design changes. Is ...

Well, I'm looking to pick up my first sig in 9mm. I will use it for concealed carry, so the P225 has the nod... as does the P6. I'd like to pick up a newer production 225 I keep seeing. But, I found some unfired P228s with the original no rail design. It's not a duty gun and I have a rail on my m9a1 (used it as a duty gun), so it's not required. I found an unfired original P228 in case for $...
I know you guys will want to help me decide to buy this gun... So for the last year or so I've become very comfortable with the 9mm. I shoot it better than I thought I would. I have 2 guns I love- a sweet W.German P228 that I carry and a German P226 for a range gun. The 226 has an excellent trigger. But I have been intrigued...

I was recently in a craft swap entitled "Cocktails" so it was everything related to that. My swap partner had an awsome WIST, so I took two ideas from it. One was the groovy glass corset. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/Cheyennesw thrt07/CIMG3239.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/Cheyennesw thrt07/CIMG3240.jpg Here is a two bottle wine tote, also on the wist. http...
I've been lurking on here for a while, just thought I would introduce myself. Name's Bruce, I live in Middle Tn. My first pistol was a P6, but now have a P228. Sadly I almost went to the dark side. I recently bought a Glock 17 and almost sold the 228. For some reason I got it in my had that I didn't want a DA/SA pistol, because if the DA trigger pull weight. But I can shoot the Sig in DA a ton ...

I bought these 3 months ago from TG and have decided to go another way so up for sale are the Meprolight Adjustable Tritium Night Sights for Sig Sauer P220, P225, P226 and P228 pistols. Meprolight night sights feature a very distinguishable white outline around the tritium ampule for daylight conditions. In darkness the tritium ampule provides illumination. Meprolight Night Sights provide fast ...

I've done some off the forum research, but I figured no one can answer this as accurate and in depth as you guys, so here goes the question of the day: what's the difference between a P228 and P229?
