I have tried everything on trying to clean very oxidized trim moldings and nothing worked until today. The body side moldings were on a 1986 Cadillac Seville. The rest of the car shined like a diamond but cleaning those moldings was a sore spot for me. I tried an experiment today and it worked a miracle. I wet a Scotch green pad with some Westley's Bleach White and they came out like new...

I have a 98 sierra and my headlights are really oxidized. It really cuts down on performance and I can hardly see when I drive at night. The mechanic told me I need to replace them, but before I fork out the money I was wondering if anyone knew any tricks to restore and polish them? Thanks for any help!

So, I restored a H-Filter bypass oil filter. Every thing looked excellent EXCEPT the bolt which holds the lid on. Whatever finish it had was oxidized off and when it was installed it just looked shabby. Finding another one in better condition was out of the question. And I didn't really want to paint it because it would chip off eventually. So I was stuck. Until the latest issue of Street Rodder...

just a quick word on carbon monoxide, it doesnt breakdown. Through natural processes in the atmosphere, it is eventually oxidized to carbon dioxide. A very well know greenhouse gas. you are completely wrong . again. how do you expect anyone to take any of your other assertions seriously when you dont even beleive them yourself. If you were that convinced of your beliefs.why did you only sell half...

The headliner in my 325 is shot. both the sunroof panel and the main roof look like crap, and the fabric is heavily oxidized and rips easily. Is there an easy way to replace this item, and spruce up the interior while I'm at it? I understand that I will need to pull the sunroof (need to do it anyways to replace a guide rail) and both the rear glass and windshield. This isnt too daunting to me, ...

Would it be possible to use a variable speed angle grinder as a rotary polisher for detailing? I just recently did a detail on my boat for the first time in 6 years. The gelcoat was really chalky and oxidized, so I needed something with a little more cutting power than my Porter Cable 7424. I borrowed my neighbors Milwaukee rotary and it did the job but that thing is a big, ...

At least I think they're tricky...I think I'm just missing something as I've done most of them up to this point without too much difficulty: C 2 O 4 (aq) --> CO 2 (in acidic solution) Carbon is oxidized from 3+ to 4+, so there should be an electron added to the products side, but since to balance the carbon I have 2CO2 on the products side...everything is balanced except the 1e - . I didn't ...
