Paint Thinner Overspray I finished painting the inside of our cabinets with a Wagner gun and was cleaning it out at the end of our driveway. When I sprayed the paint thinner through, it somehow drifted into the garage and onto my car. Will this hurt it in any way? I dont have time to wash and clay it right now. Just wondering incase I need to qd it real quick?

Scenario: A Customer contracted a job to have a room (computer infrastructure 'wiring' closet) sprayed. On agreed-upon schedule the job was to begin but the equipment was found powered up and not covered to protect from overspray. Our (decidedly non-computer-literate) folks decided not to power the equipment down (216 live computer switch ports were active) and attempted to cover the ...

Long story short, I have auto paint (white) overspray on my black 06 E EX . The guilt party will pay for removing the overspray on the paint, but the body shop said they would not touch the panels, they say there is nothing you can do but replace them ? Which I think is BS I have searched the forum and have found info on a product called 303, seems most people are using it on ...

I just discovered after my last wash that I have some paint overspray on my car. I used a clay bar to remove it from the paint, but I am in need of some suggestions as to how to remove it from the plastic A-pillars and exterior black plastic trim like the wheel arches. I did a search and some suggested WD40, but could not find anyone who actually posted results. I live on Maui so I would ...

I have read threads on removing overspray on paint, but how about on wheels? Same products? Please advise. I can't stand it when the wheel feels "rough" and sandy.

I got a guy with a black 2008 Honda Accord that has been left outside near a oil company that spray paints about a mile away he says. This black car is covered in white overspray all over the paint and windows. I tried to clean it up for him once and after I used some quick detail spray and clay bar but it took a long time to do a small section of the hood. Can I use my polisher to ...

I don't know exactly when or where, but my JEEP is covered from bumper to bumper in tiny white specs! It's paint! I'm talking about every single surface of the JEEP is covered. The headlight lenses, windows, hardtop, fenders, wheels,,,,,EVERYTHING! Someone must have been painting a building and it was in the air (WHICH SHOULD BE A FELONY) if you could catch it happening! Short of a trip to a body...

I finished sanding 2k primer and in several spots around edges I broke threw primer to bare metal. Can I spray my sealer down over the bare spots rather than reprime them. I hate to get overspray on the surrounding pieces and make more work. If I can't put down the sealer is it possible to brush the primer on the spots? I did a search and it sounds like I can put the sealer down but wanted to...

We have an exterior entry door with several leaded glass panels - the leaded glass is sandblasted - the glass panels picked up some overspray when we were having the entryway area remodeled - we'll be re-painting the wood sections of the door, but before we do that, what's the best way to remove the "popcorn" material from the glass sections? The leaded glass won't take a lot of ...

After claying, then washing then waxing for the 4th time I noticed a tiny bit of overspray on the lower corner of the plastic headlight assembly drivers side. Also some odd looking tones on the passenger door under the mirror. The passenger mirror has what looks to be bug or sap damage in the paint (the only spot). The carfax is clean and I bought it CPO from BMW dealer. A little disturbing at...

Well, the 335i convertible didn't make it three months before an unfortunate incident this morning that did a substantial amount of damage. I need recommendations for a body shop north of Boston that will make this thing look NEW (no overspray or hack jobs... only the best). Ideas???

Someone asked a question several months ago on how to remove bedliner. Here is what I know after today. DOT3 BRAKE FLUID! There was some overspray when they put the Armorthane on my rocker panels that stuck to the spring pin area of my right front. My recent leaking brake line resulted in spillage that covered the bedliner and it bubbled up and sloughed off clean.
