I have a 1972 donzi baby outboard,like a sweet 16.It has a 1979 200hp johnson crossflow outboard.Man. jack plate and reinforced transom.Solid lower motor mounts.The johnson says 150hp but has a newer 200hp "flagship"powerhead that has been gone over by dean at "the outboard shop".He took off the powerhead and installed a new clam shell asmby.New coils,waterpump,pro-head gaskets,rebilt the carbs....

I was thinking that my outboard gear lube takes more abuse that any of my manual transmissions . Would it be o.k. to use outboard gear lube in a manual transmission car if they both use 75-90 gear lube . What other choices should I think about ?

Does anyone know of a good (experienced) Central or Ohio machine shop that could check and possibly true/rebore an outboard 3 cylinder block? It's really a sportjet, but it uses an outboard powerhead mated to a jet pump. I want a shop that has experience with outboard blocks, not just an autoshop with a lathe... I have a chance to pick up a 1999 mariner 200. Wanted to know what peoples thoughts are of this motor. Also since its a 1999 is the HP rating at the prop?? Any info would be appreciated.. Thanks john

Allright heres the skinny. I have a 09 24 pulsare 24 with a 300xs. It has run 77.1 on gps with a stock prop. Had propped thinned and worked but haven't ran it yet solo.
