Hi everyone, I'm in Chile in the moment with my OH, I've just come for a two week visit (ending sunday) and I've just been back to visit all the beautiful little bubbies at the orphanage (where I did three months voluntary work until June). All of the babies I looked after then have found new home except a pair of stunning little twin girls who looked very happy and were crawling and had a lot ...

Is there an orphanage in Nairobi that we can contribute to whilst on our trip to Kenya . I have reads lots on the forum about the ones in Mombassa but cant find much on nairobi. Do you suggest visiting? Or should we just organise our hotel to make a drop off e.g. food, books etc or is this a bit risky as things may not arrive? I suppose I'm looking for a local contact. Lee

We are looking for any additional travelers to join us in visiting the orphanage and bring gifts such as clothes and/or supplies. This is a great way to spend an afternoon giving back while on vacation in this ...

The orphanage is this film just seemed so old-fashioned and not fit for the time period. From my understanding, orphanages are no longer common in the US as more children get sent to foster homes. I'm curious, though-do they even have orphanages anymore that is run my nuns, only for girls, and all the girls are in uniforms?
