Hi guys I've read that RF lenses have an average "rendition" of about 400 lp/mm while some of the best SLR lenses raise up to 300 and MF lenses are even lower (150/200) A friend of mine told me that such values were already present about 30 years ago.. so I have to think that there hasn't been any improvement in optics during all this time? How - if any - can we match these values with, ...

I recently picked up a new AR and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do optics wise. This is going to be my go to rifle and I would like idea's, discriptions', pictures of your go to AR. My use is NOT HOME DEFENSE. I have pistols and a shotgun for inside the house. This rifle is for a true SHTF, on the road, active shooter in the neighborhood, hurricane, natural disaster, etc. I have ...

With optics ubiquitous on fighting rifles, the old rule that long barrels - with their longer sight radius - are needed for accuracy and longer-range capability is turned on its head. It's possible to get one-moa mechanical accuracy from 18, 16, 14.5, 12.5, and even 10.5-inch barrels, perhaps at a higher cost. Thus, with even short-barreled CQB uppers able to provide pinpoint accuracy to the ...

I installed DXO Optics Pro 5.1 on my newly built desktop which runs on AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core (2.5 GHz). I must say I'm very surprised by the huge increase in speed when compared to my laptop which runs on AMD Turion x2 (2.2 GHz). I suppose it wasn't a marketing claim afterall when DXO said that version 5 is written to make good use of multicore processors. Here's a picture that I ...

Anybody with experience using the TM Optics red dot scope (from the pictures, it looks like the "Barska"), sold by Gunney's Garage? Price beats most, if not all other scopes that can handle large caliber handguns and rifles. I'm not looking for the best scope at this price, as I'm a reasonable guy,........ just a scope that will hold zero, need battery replacement every 10,000 hours, no ...

All of the clones I've tested lived for 100-200 rounds. After that, they started to die. The longest lasting cheapie was a Hakko holographic sight, the mounting/zero elevation screws finally blew out sending a spring flying on my Hk-51. That was around round 250.

I have the UltraDot Pan-A-V Holographic Sight. I have had it on several pistols and rifles, very happy with it. Great for picking up moving targets at short range. Mine has held up to the recoil of an M1A. I wouldn't think that a scope would have much more chance of coming off than a holo sight. I have a Leupold scope on both a SRH and a SBH, never a problem. The SBH/Leupold is thirty ...

Warning ... I paid for and downloaded the latest DXO Optics Pro software and have wasted most of a day downloading (over 400meg), installing, removing, re-downloading and re-installing it in an attempt to get it to work on my computer. They do not provide a link to technical or customer support on their web site. No phone # either. It crashes every time at startup. I finally found ...
