A friend pointed this out to me and it is quite hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAHYftmwY0U Can't you just imagine that Star Wars had become an ongoing TV series after watching that? - - - - - - - Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

So far only one Cameron film (The Abyss) has no intro credits. I absolutely love T2's opening, the playground being covered in flames, with the beautiful and classic Brad Fiedel score is still haunting. That said, personally I would like to see Avatar to begin immediately (and intimate, quiet), right after the FOX logo. what would be your preference? By the way, wouldn't it be ...

What's some of the scariest opening credit sequences you've seen? Dawn of the Dead 04', I think, is really creepy. Jeepers Creepers is also really freaky even though it's so short.

The Graduate : "Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to begin our descent into Los Angeles. The sound you just heard is the landing gear locking into place. Los Angeles weather is clear; temperature is 72. We expect to make our 4 hour and 18 minute flight on schedule. We have enjoyed having you on board, and look forward to seeing you again in the near future."--> Sound of Silence ...

Hello, fellow screenwriters. Like many (i assume) I enjoy a good and engaging opening credits sequence. But how would you make an opening credits sequence interesting. I have one in mind, but won't share it until others share theres.

I think I'll follow 3 hours later than the last poster and and act like I didn't read the previous posts either. I'll use the word "I" a whole bunch and I will say exactly what everyone else has said. Thank you for your time. I like to add my opinion when the correct answer had already been repeated many times over. I think what I have to say is important to me. I. Well said that man!...

I think he should do what he almost always does. Company logo, basic credits on a black screen, then BOOM! Catch our attention with something. In this case, either a shot of future Earth or Pandora. Take a minute or two to show some visuals, then get the camera on Jake. Aliens is a good example of this technique: http://www.livevideo.com/video/Mango87/543B82E4874 F42F2916F703A51DAB5A 3/aliens...

There was one episode (Half Wit) where they didn't do the opening. They just started the episode and ran the names at the bottom of the screen. It was weird and I always wondered why they did it, but I figured it was because they wanted to add an extra 30 or so seconds to the episode.

I agree with those who said the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The eerie, deep voice telling you the events. The creepy chainsaw noises while a bunch of disturbing images flash across the screen--eegh. Still gives me the chills. Way freaky. if you acted like me and i was in your shoes i'd probably hate on me too.

The INSTANT I realized that there was no Terminator theme song - I knew that all those 'promises' McG made about a faithful Terminator film were utter BS. UTTER HONKING BS.
