Hi! Im trying to run JDK 1.5 64 bits on OpenSolaris 2009.06 64 bits which comes with JRE 1.6 by default. What I've done till now is to change the JAVA_HOME amd PATH variable on ".profile" to the File where I extracted the JDK 1.5 that is: "/opt/jdk1.5.0_22". So my ".profile" is like this: export PATH=/usr/gnu/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11/bin:/usr/sbin: /sbin: export PATH=/opt/jdk1...

La pregunta del método apunta justamente a eso. Es diferente instalarlo de una u otra forma. Si necesitás una instalación personalizada, donde especifiques ciertos parámetros, y donde la performance juegue un rol especial (corregime, Ema, si me equivoco), el método "Homo Configuratis" es el mejor.
