I got a google alert yesterday, and I found this article from a st. louis newspaper. I don't know where they got this? Here's the link to the whole article. But this is the paragraph, I thought, "huh??" http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/entertainment/col umnists.nsf/gailpennington/story/5A377882F6D01EDC8 62576800056328E?OpenDocument Williams, 58, was in the middle of the "Self Destruction" ...

How many of us in here only have 1 child? I can't imagine having more than one right now. Brody is SUCH a handful! And, I hear 3 years old isn't any better than 2 years old. So... who knows when/if we'll have another one. I've always said I wanted 2 though. I guess we'll see. Now isn't the time for us to get pregnant & have a kid though, anyway. DH is gone all the time!! And, for the ...

I am having trouble with this as well as finding any support online. (I joined a grief support group when I was losing my mom and it helped a lot so I'm looking again.) I am told I have more than the usual amount of "stuff" to overcome. Is this the right forum for this?

There is a law right? .... were if say you have 2 children in the military one dies on duty. The other one will be discharged right? Do I know what I'm talking about? So lets say you only have one child can a parent fight it if the child decided that is what they want to do? ...so that the parents will not possibly lose their one and only child to war?

I want to get a thread going for mums with only one child. I live in an area where 2+ kids seem to be the norm and after 3 failed ivf attempts, I am getting very down about the situation, and unable to talk to other mums about it - as they all have more than one child, so it's difficult to discuss with them. I can't find a thread about this and wondered if there was one, or how I start one up ...

I am not at all a mom of only one, but I was an only child. I want to agree with Christine that I did not like being the only child either. It was lonely and I really feel like I missed out on some important experiences not having any siblings. That's why I wanted more than one child - but I never imagined i would have four! As far as when to have another baby, I have found that the 4 year ...

I have a different take on it that the OP does. While the events stated are true, I don't at all see it as Sharon being "too nice" to Phyllis Nick & Sharon have been separated for about 4 years, with Noah spending time with each of them since then, including holidays. I don't recall either of them, at any point since their separation, trying to discourage Noah from ...

Would he enjoy a ski school? If so, make sure he'll be with an English-speaking group, then at least he'll understand what the teacher is saying. If you're not sure, you could perhaps suggest he tries for at least a couple of days, then if he doesn't want to continue, take him out and enjoy the time together instead. You could look out for the sort of activites the ski school ...
