What file system should I use to partition a slow and old hard drive? I know that ext2 was best for old computers which mine is not but I am using an old hard drive for extra storage and I was curious if anyone knew if using ext2 or ext4 would show any performance differences. Thanks, in advance.

I have a 250GB hard drive that I want to use for my new build. This hard drive has Vista, but I'll be purchasing a retail copy of 7. I've never actually formatted a hard drive before, but I believe it goes: Insert Windows 7 disc. BIOS. Boot from CD. Delete partition. Format drive. Install 7. This right? Can I put the "old" hard drive into my new build and go straight to these steps?

I have some old hard drives lying around that used to be installed in old computers. For whatever reason I didn't bother capturing all the programs and files before removing them (mostly because those computers did not write to CDs and had no USB slots, and capturing it all on diskettes was tedious). What I'm wondering now is if there's some sort of connecter that has a USB connector on one ...

( I had to replace my hard drive, it kept freezing. I've re-loaded all my software to the new hard drive. When I open QuickBooks and click on 'Open and existing company file', how can I find my old files. I've got the old hard drive connected via USB, but can't find any .qbw or .qbb files on it. Thank you. , class="post_actions inline_edm">...

Some was good and some had good weight but looks like crap. Not a ant in any of it, the closer I got to the trunk the worst the wood was. Still have some good wood from it. Next is hauling it down from up top. Zap
