I see a lot of posts where people run 15w-50 and have a pressure in the 60's at hot idle/cruise. My motor has 109k of moderately hard miles. I changed my oil, made sure it was filled up perfectly. I have a 18g turbo set up. My oil pressure idicator drops below 20 and starts beeping. So can anyone tell me why it might be dropping below where it should be? Any help much appreciated

fastblackmerc is correct. The wire from the factory oil pressure switch goes directly to the gauge and nowhere else.

hot @ idle-20 psi hot @ above idle-40 psi Rule of thumb for engine lubricating pressure is 10psi per 1000 rpm.

you could probably flush straight through with diesel, than if anything loose and scrap around through the drain hole with a bit of wire. Just to satisfy yourself that it is not full of junk. maybe diesel in through the dipstick.
