The thing that we most dread to hear is that they've hired an experienced "Flash designer" that will be taking their websites to the "next level." Unfortunately, that "next level" is often the basement - at least in terms of ...

Oil and Water SDN Members don't see this ad. Ok so I was working on a buoyancy question and I got stumped. Here's the question: A cubical block of wood, 10.0 cm on a side, floats on the interface between oil and water with its lower surface 1.50 cm below the interface. The density of oil is 790 kg/m^3...

Hey everyone, I just took a picture of a 50/50 test. It seems most batches i've been doing turn out the same way, but i'd thought i'd check to make sure everything is alright. The picture provided was taken 35 minutes after the oil and water were shaken for 10 seconds. The two did seperate within the 30 minutes however it's more like 70% biodiesel/mayonese and 30% water. I understand that ...

Let me explain what I am trying to do and then I will ask my question. I am trying to cut from bar stock a spoked rail road driver wheel. The wheel is 5 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/4" thick at the thickest. There are nine spokes with a center hub for the axle and a crank pin hub and a counter balance weight area opposite the crank pin hub. I generated the intire geometry in 3-D and ran ...

Just an FYI for others who are house-hunting on LI and plan to have Liberty Mutual insure the house they eventually buy: Our agent just told us that for new homeowners policy applications, if the house to be insured has a buried heating-oil tank, Liberty Mutual won't do it unless the tank is first abandoned and replaced by an above ground or in-basement one. They require copies of the paperwork...

I know my previous SOA was optimistic, but i was trying to go on what he spends now - he doesnt buy clothes, doesnt buy much food, cant afford to put money away etc... I'm going to try and consider him to let me take an equal part, because between us we could probably afford it (shared SOA below). I couldcut back on going out during term time, and the food will probably be less than what...
