ok bad news when i did my conversion a guage oil pressure switch was in didnt realise this put engine in rah rah rah now i needa put the old oil pressure switch in and i cant for hell get it in how have others done this? i know you have 2 take the oil filter off how did you do that aswell , this is the only thing that is stopping my car going broom broom!

Ive only had my '06 for a few weeks, but I have noticed that the oil pressure fluctuates (high). At 35 mph 5th gear the needle is dead on the middle mark of the guage. If I accelerate and run RPMs up to 3k or so the needle goes to the 3/4 mark. Is this normal? Also, an unrelated question I know the purpose of the Tow Mode, but exacly what changes does it make when engaged? Thanks!

I have a 2003 silverado and I recently done a 6.0 swap in it. But my question is, is there any type of oil pressure sensor on the motor and where is it at because I'm running like 80lbs of oil pressure all the time

Ok, I searched and all the threads I came up with were people having fluctuating pressure while driving. Also it seemed to be high pressure. Mine reads normal oil pressure while driving but when I'm at a stop it fluctuates just barely. Is this likely the sender still that would cause it to bounce slightly at idle? 97 4.0, fresh oil and napa gold filter.

2003 High Oil Pressure My 2003 4 banger, 118,000 miles with Mobil-1 suddenly started displaying higher oil pressure last night. At idle (650 RPM) it was about 45psi, at anything over 1000 RPM it went to 75 psi and stayed there. I changed the oil and filter this am thinking it might be clogged filter.
