Yeah I just finished up the MoGolf modification to my OEM steel skid plate. Of course I had the skid plate of the car 2 days. So when I go to do reinstall today, oh my two brand new scrapes on the oil pan. (not dents, looks like 50 grit sand paper swipes probably from the washed out driveway we have) I was nervous driving it without the skid plate and even being very careful the oil pan was ...

I wanna hear your oil pan stories. Tell me how your destroyed oil pan ****ed your day up Me: I just swapped my jetta to a VR not even two weeks ago, and have put only 600 miles on it so far. I raised my ksports over an inch to compensate. My pan has constantly been skipping around town and then I drove downtown 2 nights ago and when I went to leave the parking garage I got a lovely oil light ...

So i changed oil pan gasket couple of days back. The oil pump was fully tight so no problem there. The oil pan didn't have ANY metal shavings or debris, so thats awesome. But then I looked at the oil pump pickup line hole and found a piece of plastic completely blocking it. I cant upload any pics, sorry. I have no idea where this plastic came from. Its about 0....

can I undercoat oil pan? Hi guys; Question about undercoating an oil pan...is it ok to undercoat an oil pan on a ford deisel engine? Remember, it costs about 2000.00 to lift the engine or cab to replace an oil pan cover. Ford oil pans are known to rot out after 4-5 years...i've heard that from many ford owners as well as different mechanics...

Dented oil pan Anyone know how far down the oil pickup goes into the drain pan? I ran over a big hunk of wood and dented the pan. This is an '05 Sportage 2.7. I know it's a 2 piece pan, so I'm lucky in that way. I've driven it for a short distance and it seems ok, no oil light or funny noises. Thanks. The picture is viewed from...

i removed the oil pan from a 2zz for inspection. there was a piece of plastic slightly covering the flywheel. you have to take it off to get to two more bolts holding the oil pan. i cant get it back on. what would happen if i continue to drive with the flywheel slightly showing?? btw how many ft lbs of torque are the oil pan bolts supposed to be?
