Hello! I'm from Miami and have been to Orlando a GAZILLION TIMES. I've eaten mostly at chains, and within the Disney resorts, since it is all easily accessible. However, I am going to Disney again this December with my fiance' and would like to know of some REALLY GOOD restaurant recommendations!! No big chains please. Prices are not an issue.

The OP is a little confusing because it mentions Cartagena and Tayrona, which are about as ON the beaten path as you can get. Fully agreed with drinksouthpaw that it's not too difficult to get to Cabo de la Vela, which is definitely off the beaten path, beautiful and safe. I stayed at La Langosta, which is probably one of the cheapest in "town" and it shows...but it wasn't too bad. It's possible ...
