After you have been on that new dose about 6 weeks, they need to re-test you (to see if that dose is high enough or not). No need to wait lots longer than 6 weeks. Also, don't take your synthroid with iron or calcium supplements.....that will interfere with the absorption of the synthroid. Did they test your Free T4 & Free T3?
