I have not slept well in a year and for the past several months it has gotten progressively worse. So I went for an over night sleep apnea test a couple of weeks ago...I looked like a tethered Octopus..sensors all over my head, jaw, legs, chest, stomach and up my nose. Oh yes a pulse ox on my finger...One would think there is no freaking way that I could fall a sleep ...wrong out like a light in...

My DS had a sleep study done last week and they called me today with the results. They said he had 33 episodes of apnea in the 5 hour period of sleep, and all but 2 of them were from an obstruction. Has anyone elses LO's had this? What was the treatment? I'm pretty sure its his adnoids (sp?), since they were very swollen and large last time they did a scope on him. They are swollen due to ...

Hi everyone, My little man who is 6mths old got diagnosed with OSA - he had a sleep study at PMH last week and the results showed he stopped breathing 27 times with oxygen dropping to 81 %. We went to a ENT straight away who is booking him in to have his tonsils and adenoids out in early February. I was just wondering if any other bubs had OSA and if so did they have the surgery so ...

Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cardiac Ischemia

I would like to know if there is, if any, correlation between OSA and cardiac ischemia. I was diagnosed with CI before I left the service in 2001 and was recently diagnosed with moderate OSA. I'm trying to tie the two together to see if it's a service-connected disability. Thank you for your advice and information.
