I am looking for an instant messaging client that runs on os9. It will be running on a tray load 333mhz imac with 96 megs of ram. If anyone knows of a good one, please reply. I have already checked google with no luck.

I bought my imac os in 1997/8 aprox, it hasn't got a cd burner and I don't have an external hard drive. I want to copy pictures and films that are on my imac as I want to load them on too my pc. I can't email them as I have no internet connection. Can I buy a CD burner or external hard drive to copy them to load them on to a pc....

Once I access my files on those extra hard drives, I will need to move the files temporarily because I need to install OS 9 drivers. I accidentally erased the old drivers when I changed the format of the case sensitive volumes to not-case-sensitive so that way they will load on OS 9. I Am talking about that maxtor 120gb with lots of volumes on it...and also a few other hard drives ...

My apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but if it has I have not found it. Is there any good way to allow either Ubuntu 9.04 or Mac OS X 10.5 recognize the i7500 for file transfer, such as removing photos/movies to the desktop or adding music to the phone?

I agree with Grant that there should be no AppleTalk protocol involved anywhere. However, activating File Sharing on System 9 requires some services activated through the AppleTalk control panel, so when we did our tests here, it was already on, as it has been for years on System 9. And had it been off, a dialog would have said it must be on for file sharing. So no luck involved. But ...

Have you tried http://www.lemkesoft.com/ 's GraphicConverter? I've owned GC for so long I must have over 20 versions downloaded. But I never looked at it as a catalog - just as an awesome image manipulation application. Thanks for the tip. Don - I will look at iView as well.
