Well today I just found my 10.3 Mac OS X CD. I really want to try it out because I have never used it. I don't want to put it on my mac. I have a Acer Netbook so I decided it was time to download PearPC on it. The laptop only has 1 GB of ram so I will run OS X with 512 MB. I am just about to try it... Any tips? Is Mac OS X 10.3 any good? I know it is old but this will be fun. Time!!!

I recently recieved an iMac running OS X 10.3 that use to be a school computer. I am not able to get into the administrator part of the computer and need to reset the password and it seems the only way I will be able to do that is having a disk. I want to upgrade from 10.3.9 to 10.5 and my local Apple dealer informs me that I can't buy from Apple, and suggested ebay. I don't mind doing that, but am confused about system specific operating systems. Can I buy ANY 10.5 and install on my G5, or do I have to make sure it is made for it? In that same vein, how do I tell by looking at the discs? Thanks for any help....
