is it possible for us to use the Ahsay OBM client for our office over the LAN rather than going over the internet? i have changed the file custom.xml but monitoring the network traffic it is still going over the web. we need to do this as our local servers that we backup with ahsay update around 200gb a day and we only provide ahsay to small businesses and our system is not setup...

I was hoping someone could help me. Recently upgraded to V5.5.5.3 and now my clients cannot connect to OBS through HTTP. They have to enable HTTPS. Any way we can change a setting to enable HTTP connection to our server from OBM and ACB clients? If anyone knows how please let me know

I got an email this morning from Ahsay, regarding a "pricing adjustment". Just out of curiousity ... Why do I have to download the server file list every time OBM backs up? This seems to be unnecessary, as OBM should always know what it has uploaded in its last backup. OBM should be the one generating a file list and should know what it did last time. What is changing the makup of the file list on server? Shouldn't OBM only need to look at ...

Hi there, I got some problems by backing up a Win2008 SBS ( 64Bit ) with Exchange 2007 . I followed the instructions at pedia.ahsay.com . [OBM: 5.5.5.0 customized] Then I tried to add a new task for Exchange 2007 (I started the RunOBC32.bat to add the task) . All other backup jobs are created in the 64bit version (Exchange Server Backup and File Backup) ....

Hi, When backup an Oracle-database, is it possible for OBM to delete archive logfiles after the job is done? Or will it do that by default? In Bxxxxx Exxx there is an checkbox to activate for that function. Best regards

It is strange that the HTTP connection are all failing after the server upgrade, while the HTTPS connection is working. May I ask if you are using the default ports of 80 and 443 for HTTP and HTTPS connection? Furthermore, can you verify if the AhsayOBS application is listening on the HTTP port? Please also copy and paste the content of the server.xml file, found under ${Install-Home}\...

For that type situation, would you possibly be better off using NTBackup to a NAS on the network? Ahsay is a great product for offsite backups, but not very fast on the local backups due to java, memory, compressions, encryptions, etc.

The problem is only on one machine (Server 2003 OS). It was working but just stopped. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Ahsay and it has started to work again. I did not want to do this as it took a long time to upload the Exchange and file backup's and I did not want to start this process again. Fresh install was connected using original user name and password.
