Hoping to get some advice? We are thinking of relocating to the Broughty Ferry area in the new year and I am wondering what the best day care nurseries are in that area for my three year old daughter? She has a great nursery where we currently live and I'd like to find somewhere just as good! Any thoughts?

Hello Girls, There are many of us discussing starting and finishing our nurseries, I thought we could have a thread dedicated to our little ones nurseries for us all to coo over. Would love to be the first but we havent started yet, ordered the furniture on boxing day and it takes approx 4 weeks so going to paint next week in preparation for it's arrival and then I ...

Minnesota’s state forest nurseries have more than 25 species of evergreens, deciduous trees and shrubs available for purchase. Seedlings are sold in orders of 500 or more, although purchases may be broken down into increments of 100 of a species. Prices for 500 seedlings run from $90 to $470. Full Story More...

Evening all, Just wondering what plans your little ones nurseries have over the festive season? Reason being - my sister (who is a nanny and ex-nursery nurse) asked yesterday when Zac's christmas party at nursery was. I had to say, thinking about it, I hadn't heard mention of one and didn't think there was one. She thought that was extraordinary as must nurseries do SOMETHING. Anyway, his ...

I'm looking for a place to buy antique roses in West Central Florida. I seem to recall there was one near Inverness/Floral City. I would prefer to stay away from Tampa (I hate driving there!) and would rather stay in the Pasco, Hernando, Polk Counties or Plant City area. Any suggestions please. Julie

I'm looking for a place to buy antique/old roses in West Central Florida. I seem to recall there was one near Inverness/Floral City? They don't need to be on Fortuniana, own root is fine. I know about Seminole Springs but it's quite a drive. And I would prefer to stay away from Tampa (I hate driving there!) but if there's a great place there....well it is ROSES we're talking about... If ...

I know there are many of us out there who live in apartments for the time being and was just looking to get some input... As I'm sure is the case with most of us, I can't obviously paint the walls or drastically alter them (with the exception of tiny nail holes for pic frames or whatever) and I'm really struggling with how to decorate for LO. Since wallpaper/murals/etc are all out, what ...

We are renting a home with a large barren back yard. I don't have it in me, physically or financially, to improve the soil for large garden beds. What I have been doing is looking for plants at the local nurseries that state "thrive in any soil". I dig a large hole, put some good soil in, water as required, and so far so good. I have trumpet vines and yucca doing well so far. Any other ...

Suja just posted some great pictures of her nursery, and I think we should do a sticky on it. How do you do that? I would love to see nurseries as they progress and see the different ideas! I can't wait to see more lil' boy rooms, and of course th precious lil' girl rooms.

I know this is a wine forum but it is a Garden Web so I though I would try. Ego and curiosity sent me on a search for Cortese grape vines. I tried the usual suspects like Miller Nurseries and while they stock a lot of grapes, no Cortese vines. Much as I know about it is that it is used to make a white wine Gavi, mostly in Italy. I found one grower in Santa Barbara that produces a wine made ...

Was recently lucky enough to tag along with Bob Fincham to a few great gardens/nurseries in Oregon and here are a few dozen pictures I loaded for your viewing pleasure. I've listed 'best guess' names to as many pictures as I can, though the accuracy may be questionable on some due to my poor memory and lack of plant tags. Enjoy! Cedrus atlantica 'Horstmann' Pinus contorta 'Chief ...

Hi All, I bought 2 different amaryllis bulbs (mount blanc and a small white amaryllis with red trim around the bloom) at 2 different nurseries after Christmas on clearance. I haven't been able to get these bulbs to grow. They weren't the best looking bulbs when I bought them. I'm frustrated. I paid over 6.00 for each bulb and I usually pay 2.00 after Christmas for the Wal-Mart Red Lion and...

Maybe there are a number of us who frequent HomeGoods, Nurseries, Box Stores etc. Maybe there are some of us who could keep their eyes out for particularly attractive and well priced garden elements- decorative ,plant, or equipment- who could share their finds (where there are enough for others!) on this thread. And we could keep bumping the thread through more dormant periods. What do you ...
