I have previously worked in the nuclear business for nearly 9 years ,,finished up with it in 1985 as it was a dead or dying industry then due to poor political business sense by our conservative government at that time. There was no growth plan in the future for nuclear as it was fought from all sides to have it replaced with cheap reliable fossil fuels. Ummmm good old coal and bunker oil. Even ...

Interesting article on Nuclear Energy possibly upset some, but it really does seem to be the only viable alternative: As oil prices continue to hover in the high $70s and many market commentators express their beliefs that cheap oil is a thing of the past, we find ourselves looking at the Alternative energy options and if any are a near/mid term replacement for fossil fuels. Solar, ...

Relative to other energy sources statistics, it is safe. See my link. I prefer to live by the sea but I would work or open a business in an atomic town....

From SwissInfo Nuclear energy debate generates heat Matthew Allen swissinfo.ch November 27, 2009 - 8:54 AM Conflicting proposals to build new atomic power plants in Switzerland have created inevitable fears and divide - not just atoms - but also public opinion. Energy providers Alpiq, Axpo and BKW Energie are bickering about how many new...

Australia could process nuclear fuel and build parts for the power stations. As warming slowly continues, many countries will have to desalinate and have reliable power. Or millions will have to move to other countries. If the glaciers retreat at 7% per year, within 20 years there will be no water for many millions. http://www.greenearthfriend.com/2009/01/chinese-gl aciers-are-melting/...

I've been on the rosters as a nuclear energy shill for about 5 years, but I have yet to see a check. Is there a number I should call? Who should I ask to speak to? I'm starting to get annoyed. I've put in a lot of hard work here pimping nuclear over the years, and I figure I'm owed at least $20.

• Even if Britain built ten new reactors, nuclear power can only deliver a 4 per cent cut in carbon emissions some time after 2025. Even the Government admits this (Sustainable Development Commission figure). It's too little too late at too high a price. • Most of the gas we use is for heating and hot water and for industrial purposes. Nuclear power cannot replace that energy. And it's a ...

What is your opinion on nuclear weapons? Should each country have the right to produce nuclear energy and have nuclear weapons? Are nuclear weapons a force of good since no nuclear country have ever been invaded and it is the main reason why the cold war never exploded to a full blown war? It has also kept India and Pakistan in check. Or is it a disaster waiting to happen against ...

You seem to like to use articles from oilprice.com - how much research have you done to ensure what they have put in the articles are correct, before pasting them here?

That's why we blew up the Trojan plant in 2006. Not very smart imo. Trojan Nuclear Power Plant - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Solar, wind, and other alternative energies are delivering; the money and public support isn't there yet. We need more diesel (biodiesel) imo. __________________ Help your local food bank - Humane Society of the United States -...

Nuclear energy seems to me to be a reasonable way of deferring the climate change problem, although I am not sure it will be very effective. The Finnish Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant , which is supposed to be the latest and safest reactor technology is currently running three and a half years late and 50% over budget. That might be teething problems so that later plants are built on time and ...

It would seem that Iran will become a uranium supplier. It was being considered years ago, and they must have have found more large deposits. Expect with cheaper labour and their new knowledge, Australia may find it cheaper to buy uranium from Iran. http://www.iranian.com/Bamdad/2005/May/Nuclear/ind ex.html
