God I pray that everything is ok! Tonight I am feeling so nauseous on top of being on edge for tomorrow! Anyone else have their scan tomorrow or this coming week?

This is my first pregnancy and I will be 12 weeks tomorrow. Previous M/C in July and I have had a myriad of other issues that we are trying to figure out with specialists. I had an U/S at 6 weeks and 10 weeks along with OB appointments, but doctor has not mentioned these tests. What do they look for? Just Down's? My next appointment will be when I am 14 1/2 weeks. My OB did do my 10 week U/S and...

Hi Mommies! I will be 13 weeks on Monday and since this is my last day posting till Monday, thought I would move up today! Anyway, my quesiton: I have my NT scan on Monday and I did not have one for DD but I remember for DD's 20 W U/S they told me not to drink anything too sugary so they would be able to get good measurments-so the baby isn't moving too much. Well, on Monday, I also have ...

So today I had my Nucal Trasluenscy (sp?) scan and the lady told me the only thing she saw to warn me of was I had a low lying placenta. What does this mean? Also the baby didn't move much, just wiggled around little bit. But I'm concerned about that. I asked the lady doing the sonogram and she says its nothing to worry about because it was moving when she was trying to get her measurements. ...

I did not have this one done w/ DD but I know when I had the 20W U/S w/ DD they said to not drink anything w/ too much sugar in it so they could get good measurements. I also have my GD test on Monday ...

Hello everyone! Had my NT scan last week, got the results back yesterday. 1/10,000 chance of DS, and everything looked fantastic was the nurses words, so that was very reassuring! :) Got some amazing ultrasound pics and the baby was moving all over the place. Literally didn't go 2 full seconds without movement of some kind. It was amazing. I just wanted to post my good results. Good luck ...

i got the results from my doctor about a week later. i had to proactively call for them, otherwise we would have just discussed at my next appointment (probably because results were fine, am assuming they would have called me if there was a problem).

Anyone ever have the Down Syndrome integrated test? I think it's where you have the NT scan in the first trimester and blood work in the second trimester. I'm thinking about doing this because it says you get better results. Anyone do this before?

for those of you that had this done ... I did the ultrasound, but she didn't say anything one way or another (Dr. appt tomorrow am, will ask then) but I refused the blood test because the ultrasound tech said it was specific to down's. I read a post earlier where some of you had found other abnormalities, was this through the ultrasound or the blood test results or a combination??? I'd really ...

I just had my NT scan and blood work today. Did you ask the doctor performing the test if the results were normal? I asked and the doctor told me that my results were within the normal range. The blood test results take 7 to 10 days to get back. I'm doing the amnio anyway but I still would like to know my chances of Down's.

nt scan is done routinely in kent, england where i live, i cant understand why it is not done everywhere! we have a cousin with down syndrome but it did come into the equation for our nt result. if you feel strong enough you should definately ask like others have said.

I had mine done the day before Thanksgiving. They look for a measurement of under 3mm of fluid in the nuchal space. They also take a measurement of the nasal bone. The last part is the blood sample. They told me 7-10 days for the results. My NT scan literally took an hour, because my little one was moving so much they couldn't get a measurement of the nasal bone. Finally they were able to,...

My doctor has never mentioned this testing. My husband and I both have relatives with Down's, but the doctor said there still wasn't a definite risk. We did not do these tests with DS either.

My thoughts are with you! I am wishing you all the best for a good scan result. I have had many scans (I've had 3 losses - two of those in 2nd trimester) and before each scan I get an "upset" tummy. I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and the day of my NT scan I was so nervous and I had the shakes - however the our last NT scan for a previous pregancy was not good and I was classed as "high risk...
