No, it cannot. It's a noun. As in "a sale": "I attended a garage sale". "Sell" is a verb. As in: "He sells penny stocks". The past tense is "sold". Future is "will sell". I could go on, but perhaps you aren't ready for subjunctive and pluperfect...

I guess you arent clear what a noun is .. person place or thing. Sale can take the from of many different meanings. But in the end they all mean the same thing, A SALE ! GO !! GO !! FFGO !!!

Hello! I've got a task on word formation and would like to know how to form another part of speech (I guess it must be a noun) from the word "count". I have to change the word in the brackets. I'm quite sure I've heard a few times the word "digit" used as a verb, as in "I digited it by mistake", but I don't seem to be able to find it in any dictionary...am I totally wrong? Is it just a noun? Thank you.
