Saw this chart and thought it might be useful to some here, compiled from hundreds of datasets and normalized into one chart. http://emsai.net/reviews/

Hi everyone, This problem haunts me for a long time. I know what a dimensional data warehouse is and its schema. However, I am puzzled why the dimensional data warehouse is query faster than the normalized database. The dimensional data warehouse is split into many dimensional tables which should be joined by the JOIN operator... So, is anyone can tell the real difference and give some ...

I found two sources that show how the unemployment rate is calculated: http://www.bls.gov/cps/cps_htgm.pdf http://www.bls.gov/cps/rvcps03.pdf This is actually rather complicated and seems rather crude to me. The question I have is, if we used the same metric that we used in the thirties before all these changes that were made, what would the unemployment number be today?...

1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data The system described by the Hamiltonian has just two orthogonal energy eigenstates, |1> and |2> , with =1 , =0 and =1 . The two eignestates have the same eigenvalue , E_0: H_0|i>=E_0|i>, for i=1 and 2. Now suppose the Hamiltonian for the system is changed by the addition ...

I am just starting linq to sql and the examples used are northwind, wich is a small database and not 3rd normal form (i think) Are there any examples of using linq to sql with a large(er) production db? is it still benifitial to use? How would i return data for a form as i would before with a data set having all the talbes for the drop down list and data fields? I know its alot to ask and ...

Hi all, I have what might well be considered a stupid question but fortunately none of you are my employer or former varsity prof so I'll ask away I've always endeavored to keep my databases normalized to the best of my ability and, for the most part, I think I'm fairly well set in that line of thinking. At my current company though some of our databases are anything but normalized. When I ...

I've been on a moderate- to low-carb diet for 7 weeks to treat my T2 diabetes. I've lost 25 pounds (200 to 175) in the process, and have normalized my blood sugar and blood pressure Pressure ulcer as well. However, I'm bothered by a middle back pain. It doens't seem to be the spine but something internal. It came on about 3 weeks into my diet and starts whenever I stand ...

I went to see Dr. Zhang after reading different posts in various forums from people who claim to have lowered and even normalized their enzymes. While we all know that this is not a "cure" , we still prefer normal Normal saline flush enzymes over elveated ones in any given situation. Dr. Zhang explained to me how you can live an almost normal Normal saline flush life...

I am trying to determine the appropriate parameters to use for capability of true position of a hole. When I analyze in Minitab, I have the option of selecting boundary or leaving lower limit in a normal distribution capability selection. My questions is this, Should TP be handled as normalized or non-normalized data? This assume no normalization has been done to the data prior to running ...

Hi, I'm new to the forum and trying to get some thoughts on how to solve what I see as a tough formula to write. I am writing a swim meet XLS sheet for Master's swimming where we are looking up normalized data to give each swimmer a handicap based on age and gender. We ran into a problem where there was so much manual input that it threw the formulas for a loop. ...

Hello all. Well I finally got hard. This was just a simple blade I threw together, nothing special. 1095, 3/16" thick, 1.5" wide and around 8.5 oal. I did'nt want to go all out on another blade just to have it break again. I normalized three times, with very little warpage, straightend it a little bit, then normalized it again. Brought up to colors and then quenched in straight water (...
