Can a nonlinear differential equation become linear by changing the geometry of space in which the equation is expressed? How does one start investigating this question?

I'd say the OP was referring to a nonlinear algebra solver like Newton-Raphson rather than an ODE solver which solves nonlinear IVPs. Gerry
