Anyone know why BMW decided to scrap the "E" in favor of "F" in the model nomenclature? On the same lines, anyone know how the "E" came to exist? I suppose it all started with the E21, right? Damn, as an owner of one, I should know this.

I'm sure there is an easy answer to this question, and since I'm not a Mac troubleshooting professional, I can't figure out. ****, I'm not even sure of the proper Mac nomenclature for this action - when the mouse clicks and scrolls automatically (you ocassionally get that grey dot/arrow button?) but sometimes it just springs up and it's annoying at best, destructive at worst. How to...

Porsche has recently fielded their first 4-door sedan, the Panamera. The new Porsche Panamera is sort of a low-flying variant of the Porsche SUV, the Cayenne. It uses similar nomenclature, and powertrains as the SUV. The Panamera has widely been panned for its visual appeal (or lack thereof), but I ... View the full article

I understand nomenclature like x times 10 to the 799th power, or even "e" times something to the something'th power, if it is explained in rather careful terms. ("e" is the natural whatchamacallit and its value by itself is, like, ...
