In the last week or so, my noise margin and line speed have changed it was 6400 and 6dB it has been incrementing dB by dB every re-connection to be some 54xx and 9dB Is it the exchange ? Would it be fair to assume some recent change somewhere as added some interference, and this is driving the change in noise margin ? FYI : line is already interleaved....

Hi I have just returned to BT from being with Bulldog/Pipex and am a little concerned! Noise margin is very low (9.5) and am experiencing frequent disconnections. Is this something which is likely to be rectified during the initial training period or should I ask them to raise my snr margin profile (as I did with Bulldog with good results)?

My noise margin follows a smooth curve with the setting and rising of the sun. Typically it loses about 4 overnight. Please click here to see this little graph I've captured from RouterStats Lite. Noise Margin graph Is this change normal? I thought the drop in noise margin at night was due to interference by radio waves on the overhead wires, but almost all the 7.3Km of ...

Hi, I wish to know the real (mathematical) relationship between noise margin, attenuation and current adsl profile. Can anyone help? My problem is that I want to predict what will be my noise margin if I upgrade my package to a faster one. I understand that it depends on my current noise margin and my current package.

Although I am quite close to exchange, I have a very low downstream noise margin. As Im moving early next month to ADSL2+ with O2 Im wondering what I should do, or just see how it goes? My router is a Netgear DG834G v4 Connection Speed 8,128 kbps with Line Attenuation of 16.0 db, and Noise Margin 6.5db it does drop to it does drop to around 5.4db on occasions. Over the last ...

Recently my noise margin has increased to 15.5dB from around 7dB, this has caused my sync speed to drop to 6112k from 8128k. My line has been stable at the full 8128k for over 10 months & was wondering why it has done this?

Hello, I have an 827 router that seems to have noise issue's and i'm wondering if it is the device or the line? The noise margin drops down after a week or two of use. If I restart the router the noise margin is back up to about 7 dB This is what is looks like after a week or two: ATU-R (DS) ATU-C (US) Modem Status: Showtime (DMTDSL_SHOWTIME) ...
