My endo did a manual exam. He mentioned that my left side of my thyroid is larger than my right. He never mentioned any nodules etc. but do or can I request an ultrasound just to be safe Safe driving for teens Safe sex ? Or is this not necessary unless he finds something during manual exams. Also are manual exams accurate or can things be missed easily?

Has anyone here had nodules develop on their vocal cords as a result of RA? I have nodules...but I am a music teacher so I use my voice an awful lot. But I am not reading that methotrexate can make you have more/worse nodules. I can't talk at all for a week and then see if any healing happened. My ENT may say no talking for months. Grr....seeing the rheumatologist Friday with lots of questions!...

I also have taken amiodarone and have hypo, but i do not think that if you stop taking amio it will improve, I think that the damage is done now, but I also think that if you continue taking amio it may be worse, not only your thyroid, but also your liver and all the things that you should be checking while taking amio and that i asume your doctor has not even talked to you about...
