Has anyone here had nodules develop on their vocal cords as a result of RA? I have nodules...but I am a music teacher so I use my voice an awful lot. But I am not reading that methotrexate can make you have more/worse nodules. I can't talk at all for a week and then see if any healing happened. My ENT may say no talking for months. Grr....seeing the rheumatologist Friday with lots of questions!...

Hi to all, I have had nodules under fingers on both hands for a while now have had blood taken get fatigue everyday especially in the afternoons and have had exrays taken will have to go for results and see what it is i think its R.A. anyone any ideas would be appriciated. Dolphin82.

I've had it done once and getting it done again in a few days. It honestly didn't hurt much that I can remember (was about a year ago). I also don't know if they will have to biopsy all 3 nodules. Most likely it's nothing and, even if it turns out to be something, thyroid cancer is completely treatable. Where are you having it done? I like Lenox Hill Radiology on E. 77th

Anyone know why when you get a cyst/nodule it turns sooo dark/purplish colour? The colour is almost worse than the actual cyst itself, cos it draws attention to that spot, rather than if it was flesh coloured!! Thanking you, Honey

Im just amazed that you can look normal, have no symptoms, have normal readings on blood tests, and then suddenly find out youre a candidate for thyroid surgery to get a nodule removed. I am not sure if I have this yet, but I have 3 nodules in my thyroid with one being larger 4cm, I understand that is consistant with hashi's. I still need the rest of the testing done after my FNA but will treatment with medication shrink the larger nodule at all. Also I feel at times almost like I can feel my thyroid when I swallow is that normal with hashi's?
