The New Improved is from the 20's and works with the new thin blades but I believe they were designed for the old thick blades. They come in silver and gold. I haven't used mine in a long time, I recall finding it pretty aggressive but others here like them a lot. The New was the first series (30's) for the thin blades. The US ones I know of are gold, there are English models made in silver ...

One of our very thoughtful members contacted me back chanel about this NEW (pic attached) at what I thought was a very good price. Hopefully, it'll be in my hands by the end of next week. No cracks, teeth straight, but some brassing on the head (which I understand is common).
