Ok so Melo is 10 months old now and i finally got around to neutering him. He had 2 nice size testicles I might add, so the fact that i even waited was a miracle!!! LOL!!! Anyway, I did NOT expect to have this empty "sac" (so to speak) hanging around after the procedure....I'm sure this is normal, I HOPE ....But if any can share pics, input, own experience....It would be appreciated.... ...

When we had our dalmatian done, he had a totally white butt and these 2 pitch black testicles. He came home with 2 black pancakes. They did "tuck up" but because of his coloring, were always noticable. But if you are concerned, check with your vet.

I wouldnt neuter him. I feel that if it's not necessary, why put the chinchilla through unwanted stress? Also, there are always complications that could occur, and its always possible that a small animal may not wake up from the anesthesia, the vet always warns me about that. I'm not sure why you would want to neuter him? I'm not trying to be rude, I just don't think it'd do anything for...
