NeoMedia and Neustar Move One Step Closer to 2D Mobile Barcodes Everywhere. From Neo Media Press After years of waiting for 2D barcodes to deliver on their promise of linking print and product codes to rich media and consumer engagement, it’s hard to get excited about yet another announcement. Nonetheless, signs of standards alignment, mobile reader interoperability and serious ecosystem ...

Bottom-line until NEUSTAR signs up revenue generating clients we will be off everyone's radar. But the bigger issue we have, is to many shares and lots of retail shareholders that hold millions of shares ready to sell, plus the few billion ready to sell. We move up we get smacked down due the share count. Right now maybe and that's a big maybe, if we get major revenues coming in we may move to ....

That's why NeoMedia teamed with Neustar. Neustar has a ton of salespeople to push this to the next level. NeoMedia needs to have these strategic licenscees to move this and fast.

Cool. The more I read about NeuStar the more I realized that NeoMedia got an awesome partner. I cannot wait to see how this whole clearinghouse sets up and develops for 2D barcodes. Once we add-in a Keyword mobile with location-based routing then life will be good for us. Have a good night.

Again, AT&T is doing a very major promotion to get people into the idea of using their mobile phones to take a picture of a barcode. If the follow-on promotion, which I anticpate will involve the real thing, and this involves Neustar, we are quite golden. http://att.promo.eprize.com/snap/?source=ECH9k9t00 00000zs

Back in early March of 2009, next to a picture of Ivor Sequerira, DNjournal highlighted Neustar with this paragraph: "Sequeira's company, Neustar, operates the .US registry and he thinks America's often overlooked country code extension represents an excellent investment opportunity. Sequeira acknowledged complaints from current .US holders that the registry had done little to promote he ...

Licensing coupled with *prepaid* click through fees (upfront cash--at a discounted rate) is a smart strategy, BB50. I would not be surprised to see this happen. Google & Microsoft would be ideal candidates...YJ. Edited to add: this could have been done with Neustar already.

I worked for NeuStar (the common short coder Registry) for some time as a consultant. There are several different types of SMS based platforms that you can use. Most of the time to start and develop your own platform, you will have to enter into negotiations with the wireless network providers (Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, etc..) You can utilize a common short code based platform which is a number ...
