OK, I finally listened to my wife and went to the VA Clinic to see the Podiatrist about my left ankle. I had been using a private Podiatrist and was paying the co-pay on my insurance. I just didn't want the hastle of using a VA Doc. Anyway, as I posted prior I had a crushed ankle, open reduction, screws removed, yada yada yada. Currently have a whole list of defects as a result including ...

Has anyone ever had nerve damage from an IV? If so, how long did it take to get better? Had one a week and half ago and I still can hardly use my right hand. It burns and tingly around the thumb if my hand moves in a wrong direction or if I lift anything.

Since then my fingers on both hands are numb and painful. They almost feel as if you came in from the fridget cold and they are warming up. The pain also comes and goes now in arms and shoulder. I also have lung pain and ...

I told the doctor about it last week when I was there for a sinus infection. I just wanted to make sure it was documented, just in case. He said to just keep any eye on it and let him no if no improvement. I failed to ask how long I should expect improvement after.

The flu shot is extremely dangerous and non effective and why on earth would you get a shot for a virus that is not even dangerous for you to get, the way to prevent getting the flu is from NATURAL IMMUNITY!!!!!!!!! The fact that the general public will listen to ANYTHING a doctor tells them is pathetic; seeing as how these people you place in charge of the well being of your child have MAJOR ...

The nerve damage would be rated separately; however, if you already have a 30 percent for the ankle and 20 percent for scars on the ankle you have already maxed out the evaluation. All of your evaluations for conditions below the knee in that leg cannot exceed a combined 40 percent. When you combine 30 with 20 it comes to 44 which is 40 percent. No matter how many additional disabilities are ...

I heard from a motorcycle dispatch rider that Ralgex or Deep Heat is really good for cold fingers, but I don't know how good it would be for TBPI fingers. I find that although it doesn't cure the coldness, moving the fingers (in your mind, at least) does help. For those who don't know me, I had my TBPI arm amputated 8 years ago, but I still feel cold in those fingers (and occasionally pain, ...

Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! There are two possibilities. One is that there is a nerve compression some where, either in the neck or in the shoulder. A nerve conduction study can throw some light. The other possibility is thrombophlebitis or inflammation of the vein which comes and goes. Both can cause a feeling of cold and numbness. A vascular specialist will be able to ...

Replying to: Bad nerve damage from chemo I too experienced a lot of pain since chemo. My feet hurt like He__ __! I can only walk for a hour at the most. Three weeks ago I went Christmas shopping with the girls and they wheeled me around in a wheel chair. Demoralizing to say the least, but boy did it help. I was able to last the whole day that way. We do what we can to cope. My Dr. ...

Yes the Amitriptyline does tend to make one groggy but the good news is you will become adjusted to it and it will not make you that way in about a week. Sorry about the possible nerve damage. I have nerve damage in my hand and it is NO fun!! Hope you get some answers soon.

It's very unlikely it's nerve damage. It got to the nerve and manipulated the needle. It can cause soreness afterwards. I have fibromyalgia and had to stop accupuncture. It's a bit to invasive of a therapy for me. But that's me. You might want to try another therapist. I've had 3 fabulous acupuncturists and never had anything like that happen. It should not be a long term ...
