Alright, I've got a 2006 Texas Titan that I took the chrome nerf bars off of, and recently a family friend bought a brand new Titan....it's a CC, just as mine is. He doesn't have the bars, but wants them, so he offered to buy mine. My questions.... 1. Would they still line up/fit fine? I imagine they would but just wanted to make sure. 2. Hey guys, I'm curious, do most aftermarket nerf bars mount to the trucks body or the frame? Reason I am asking is because with a body lift, i don't want them mounted to the frame cause they'd hang down so low. I see Rangers on here BL'd and they look to be in stock location, but i saw this dude in town today with his Ranger body lifted and his nerf bars sat way lower than the body, it looked ...

So I'm not a fan of the running boards. I want to change out for some nice nerf bars or something like that. I'm thinking of powdercoating black, anyone thought of the f250 single steps you see. Maybe take and have them powdercoated black? Might look nice with my mini lift?? Give me yalls thoughts

The rear part of my plastic step popped off on passenger side nerf bar. It was held in by a pin that goes into a hole on the chrome part. The pin has a small metal clip with prongs on it that is supposed to lock into that hole. I bent the prongs out and pushed the end of the plastic step in several times. So as I enjoy my truck slowly corroding in the Canadian winter, I pulled the factory step bars off my truck (2004-Sierra 4x4, the so-called Nevada package, before they started calling it the Nevada package) in prep for the body shop to repaint the rockers. If the OEM side steps are gone, CCOT, JoeTLC and others make OEM-style replacements, both in OEM size and large. But, if, like mine (75 FJ40), the supports are gone, you need to fab replacements. Then, it bolts to the support (I'm putting 2 in - front and rear of each, and, I bought the larger steps), AND the body tub. Still thinking about POSSIBLY either getting NERF bars, or having NERFs ...
