Hi, 1983 F250 I have replaced the radiator, heater core and had different temperature thermostats in the engine from 180 and 191 degrees. Ford says 180 degrees Navistar claims 191 degrees. It made no difference I still didn't get any heat. I still cannot get sufficent heat unless i'm driving at 70 mph. The last few years I partially blocked the front of the radiator. Alright AllenF, what are you doing using logic here! Sounds like your doing the proper things to make it last. I've said it before, the customers that actually worked their 6.0's had less problems that the bozos that let their trucks idle for 2.5 hrs during the morning coffee klatch.
