I have a 96 civic that I am currently in the process of repainting. I used Nason 2k primer on it, sanded and then applied Nason 2k base. The problem is that I am getting wrinkles in the paint on the front bumper when applying the base coat. I purchased a new front bumper that came primed, but for some reason the primer would come off when I used Dupont surface prep/cleaner. I didn't ...

I've got about a half gallon of Nason 481-16 Select Thinner left over from a spraying project I was involved. I bought the materials, but somebody else did the spraying - I don't own a spray gun. Are there any uses for this thinner other than thinning automotive paint and cleaning the spray equipment? I just read the can and it says it's for use by "professional, trained painters"...

Alright I have searched the forums and was thinking of going Fulthane on my Ttype. Its white and I'm going to stay with white, I read on the dupont site that you can mix clear with the paint to add depth. Is this worth doing? Will it make it easier or harder to lay down? Would it be effective to add a fine pearl to the mix to make it pop a little more or am i asking for trouble. I like...

Your sequence of pre prep is not the best but you have effectivly sealed the lac primer with the epoxy creating a good barrier as well as a solid surface to paint over. Not the greatest, but still usable without stripping it all down. Problem will be that the Nason epoxy will sand like concrete shortly as it cures out,soTHAT is going to be your main concern now. It will last and not be worth "...

I just signed back on and see that this thread is out of control. If you are really serious about this: Get a good pair of jeans with moderate amount of stitching - Earnest Sewn if you can afford them. Levis Capital E if you are on a budget you have large legs (at least that's what you said) so get "full leg" or "relaxed" fit. Make sure there is a moderate bootcut do NOT get jeans ...

My father mixed 16 oz of mid temp hardener and 6 oz of base coat activator in 3 quarts of paint, and no reducer. He thought the activator for my clear coat was the reducer. When I got home the door jams were already sprayed with the paint and looks good, but it's just the jams so I can't really tell how the rest of the paint will react. Is this fixable or is my paint ruined? (Keeping ...

FADE IN: on a man-made opening of a large rock formation. A sign above the entrance reads, "Colossal Cavern." Then a voice is heard, though nobody is seen. "I'm glad you haven't changed much in the past few months, First. You're still the brash, ignorant miscreant, readily poised to shove his foot right down his own cavernous mouth... and somehow never see it coming." Someone is ...
