1) wondering if anybody know a C program to write values to register of NVRAM. the values of the register (1/0) will force the PLX PCI chip on the DUT board to reset and toggle between 2 modes for testing purpose. 2) I already have a program that allows programming the cygnus NVRAM written by someone else (not sure yet if nvram is on chip or dut board). 3) usb-I2C (...

I have google to know the functional difference between them. But, I didn't get the answer. This printer is displaying this message about no NVRAM. I researched online and found that I needed to reset the factory defaults which I have done. This same printer, after a week, is again displaying the same message on the display. I again reset the factory defaults and the printer is functioning. Is there something else on the printer that may need attention - the memory, the system board? ...

Greetings All, I am having difficulty with my system freezing/hanging during the NVRAM check (Bios POST boot up). I am not getting any error beeps, but the system will either get to "Checking NVRAM..." or "Check NVRAM... OK" then hangs. It never actually gets to tabulating the amount of ram (2 GB). I recently replaced a broken plastic socket-478 CPU mount with a metal ...

I just noticed this and was wondering if it was a common occurrence. If I have my MBP set to use the 9600m GT and I decide to reset the PRAM/NVRAM, will the computer automatically revert to the 9400m after such reset. I just noticed that my graphics settings changed by itself and could only draw up the PRAM/NVRAM reset as the cause. Is this the case? Thanks!...

Hi all a good freind of mine from germany has this motherboard with Dual OpteroNDP 250 CG's, 2x 1GB PC-3200 ECC Reg Infineon memory and when they try to bootup the system it hangs for a very long time @ nvram checking... trying to enter the bios was no chance to do that because the board is not booting further. So here is what they try to do to try and resolve this issue: bios reset via...

Delurking since my Joust "win" (though I do recall a certain someone besting the rest of us by so many orders of magnitude they were disqualified). ;-) Great thread. I've always just used snapshots to record my high scores exclusively since: 1) High score saving is no longer supported in official MAME (and high scores can get lost between releases) 2) State saving is worthless for ...

Hi Don, yeah I'm starting to greatly suspect the Radeon 7000 card. The battery is less than a year old (new from OWC). I've ruled out the monitor itself, nvram settings, PRAM, software... All that's left is the Radeon card and maybe the logic board? I'll try the card in a different slot when I get home and report back. Thanks for the input!...
