Hi, I'm looking to make an XP 32bit SP3 CD using nlite for another PC, but I only currently have Win 7 installed on my PC. Is there any danger in running nlite from within Windows 7? Will it mess around with any system files or anything? Yeah I am paranoid, but if anyone has done this before please let me know!

1) First, copy the entire contents of your copy of Windowsxp a local folder of your choice and rename it as you want. 2) Install DotNetFramework 2.0 in the order to run nLite. Hi all, I was wondering if there was a way to create a customized windows xp install cd without using nlite ( http://www.nliteos.com/ ) . I really need something that works exactly like Nlite for WIN7!!! I have now gone thru 18 CD's trying to get Raid drivers on an Xp 32 install CD...I have no problems loading Sata drivers but as of yet I CANNOT GET RAID DRIVER TO WORK, It will not see the Hard drives as raid it only sees 4 seperate Unusable UNKNOWN hard drives then BSOD, Please if someone who Knows what I'm doing wrong or Knows what to do a Response would be greatly appreciated PLEASE IF YOU ...

I just got a SATA HD for my pc. Apparently, I have to find drivers for it before I can install my winXP. I am using the Winfast Foxconn 761GXk8mc-rs MB. The problems are caused by running nLite more than once against the same same source. This issue appears with KB933360, and maybe Nuhi could do something to solve this problem in his next nLite version. Always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all you work in one nLite session..

A dialog box does indeed appear on screen when slipstreaming the service pack into the XP folder. It doesn't, however, affect or alter any of the operating system files, Windows 7 in your case. It only alters, updates or changes files in the target XP source folder.
