Can anybody tell me what size of socket I need to remove my NGK plugs? I installed them awhile ago and both 13/16 and 21mm sockets don't fit. These plugs came with a set of new 044s from CB. It's a stupid question and I know I should know this but I've never used NGKs before. Is there some special socket I need to use now that the engine is in the car and all the cooling tin is on? Thanks! ...

Received the answer why my glows burned, it could be due to "" voltage allowed to flow for too long"" Apparently NGK does not know that Mercedes as an after glow... Therefore, they should check their ability to withstand MB engenering, or just says that they are not compatable. Simple. Anyway, NGK and Merc, nope.

There a three different platinum spark plugs by NGK 4G, 5G, 6G with different sparking temperatures 5G being the mid temp choice. The parts guy at courtesy said to go with 5G. And that 6G is better if you are burning oil, because the higher temp will burn it better/faster. I know nothing, so I ask. What are these different temperature characteristics really for? Which to go with for 97 ...

On 05-24-09 I replaced the spark plugs with NGK V-Powers and spark plug wires with Autolite Professional series. The vehicle had 130,800. It ran really well, I could definately feel the difference. About a month ago it started to idle rough and kept getting worse. I was working on the car with another issue and decided to replace both at 140,925 on 11-21-09. The plugs look completely ...

Ok, I've heard alot of good things about these but there was a thread not too long ago on these forums where a guy installed these on his car and noticed a loss of hp (his car wasn't pulling as strong as it used to) compared to the stock spark plugs. I have a set of bkr7's laying around but that thread made me think twice and now I'm uncertain whether or not to install them or ...
