Hi, I have a ulnar nerve problem in my left arm/hand what results in muscle loss in my left hand. The doctors here in The Netherlands (Europe) tell me that they can do nothing about it. Because this is my writing hand and my work as an artist will become difficult I want to ask if anyone knows a good specialist (anywhere in the world) that can give me a second opinion? Thanks in ...

I'm 2 weeks into a more intense weight training routine and have cut back on cardio, from 7-8 hours a week to 4-5 hrs/wk. I also included a complete rest day (Sundays), but am finding that I miss doing cardio daily. In general, will doing cardio every day prevent me from preserving/gaining muscle mass? (And I still have at least 60 lbs to lose, if that makes a difference.)

I've been on a low carb diet for 5 weeks and lost 25 lbs: Started at 200, I'm now close to 175. This is more than I ever expected. I thought I would plateau at 185. Indeed, I stayed at 185 for a week, and I thought my weight was stabilizing. Then, 1.5 weeks later, I did not realize I was actually close to 175. I'm 5-10 and consume about 1,700 calories. My daily nutrients are: 110g ...

I worked out with a personal trainer for over and year and for the first 8 months of training I was building muscle and becoming much stronger. Then after a while I noticed that my muscles were starting to get smaller. That was about a year ago and now no matter how hard I work out or how much I vary it my muscles continue to get smaller. Whats funny is that even though my muscles are getting ...

You can notice that am losing more LBM than Fat, not to mention that i still lose weight every week. My height is 5"8""172cm" so i want to keep my weight at 154 since its my optimal height to weight ratio. "I've been following/doing ("3:1" low carb ...

just a quick question or two for you. have you ever actually had a c spine MRI done just to see if there is some level of real spinal problem underlying in all this? have they ever done what is called an EMG/NCV on you to just see how far up the problem goes and to look for where the actual impairment begins? the EMG also checks out nerve flow velocity too so it would show if this nerve did just ...
I'm not a big fan of protein powders. They are all the rage at gyms, but in my book they are still a frankenfood. And we who eat a lot of meat get way more protein than the average guy anyway. Somewhere these people got the idea that if you eat protein then it just gets pasted onto your body as muscle, so off they go to buy their whey powder. But the time in my life when I experimented with whey...

Since i have had so many varied symptoms this was seemingly less important for a few days. Now it is the only consistent one i have had the duration of my illness. There is a sore lump beneath my arm and for the last week all the muscle around it has been twitching constantly and the twitching seems to be progressing further across from the original left side to right side and up my neck. ...
