I've been cutting for the past few weeks since the second week of september, since then I've lost 20 pounds which I'm ecstatic over. But if you factor in muscle loss I'm not too sure how much fat I've actually loss since I don't use bf% calculators, as I base my weight loss in what I see in the mirror. But would anyone consider the fact that my lifts are actually going up as any indicator that...

This is my first ever cut, so I have 0 experience on this field. I am training hard 3 times a week focusing on compounds, eating enough protein and a little carbohydrates (some bread, all though NOT white, bananas...) and I take BCaa amino acid supplements. Could any experienced cutters make a guess on how much muscle you'll usually lose in a cut like this? Also, I was told that focusing on...

Greetings members! Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated! Cutting fat must be my primary objective right now as my body fat percentage is around 28%. I have lost 30 Lbs in the last 6 weeks. The problem is that my LBM has also reduced by 5 lbs. For every 5 Lbs of fat, I lose about 1 lb. of muscle. Obviously, I am in a calorie deficit so it is hard to maintain let alone gain muscle. ...

What supplement should one take in order to prevent muscle-loss during long periods of inactivity? For example, when recovering from surgery? I once read that leukic worked great for some guy, but now im not sure. Any response or opinions would be great!

Question: I know that with any weight loss plan unless you are specifically bodybuilding, there is some muscle loss with the fat loss because it doesn't take as much muscle to move less fat. I got on my WW scale last night and the lean tissue and water and bone I have adds up to 141lbs. I'm 26 and 5'4" so my max BMI weight is 146. My goal is 145lbs, but ...

My friend invited me to a charity bike ride on Saturday and it might be going on for over five hours. if I'm doing cardio for that long, I want to make sure I'm not losing muscle. what would you suggest I do to minimize muscle loss during this? hopefully it won't be high intensity for the whole time.. I was thinking about putting some protein in my water bottles and packing some ...

LOL it's crazy how much LT changes us, not only physically, but mentally too. I just hope this time when I've finished, I'll have a better perspective on weight maintenance.

You really can't work on building muscle until your body has something to make muscle out of! 2500 sounds great... you have to simply get a bit of meat on your bones first though. Then, gradually, the muscle will rebuild. Remember, refeeding is temporary... your body composition will regulate as the process goes on! So hang in there... I know it's rough, but it gets easier!
